About the Role
Discovery Place is in search of a maintenance professional to keep our center sparkling, safe and in great repair. The Mr. or Ms. Fix-It we hire must have an eye for detail. They pay attention to the little cleaning tasks that don't take long but make our center shine. They are also willing to put in initiative when needed, like fixing things they see in need of repair before it becomes a major concern.
Requirements
A successful candidate will:
Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
Install appliances and equipment
Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. cameras)
Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
Report issues promptly
